Carefully clean and disinfect the 40mm adapter assembly using Scott Multi-Wash
Mini. Follow Instruction 89346-01 supplied with Scott Multi-Wash Mini. DO NOT USE
ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL ON ANY PART OF THE 40mm ADAPTER. Shake excess
water off and then dry with a clean, lint free cloth or gently blow dry with clean, dry
breathing air of 30 psig or less pressure. When drying, care must be taken to not
dislodge or unseat the inhalation check valves.

Examine head straps and harness for breaks, cuts, frays, tears, loss of elasticity and
missing or damaged hardware.
10. Examine all hardware to verify proper condition of threads and couplings.
11. Examine to verify all gaskets and seals are present and in good condition.
12. Examine the inhalation and exhalation valves and valve seats for cracks or foreign
substances which may not allow the valves to close completely. Verify that the valves
are not distorted or missing.
13. Examine lens for cracks, excessive scratches and, where appropriate, the lens
retainer(s) for possible damage. Be sure retainers are tightened securely.
14. Examine breathing tube for cracks, tears, or leaks. Seal one end of tube and apply air
pressure to other end to detect leaks.
15. Examine blower assembly for damage or cracks. Verify that there are no loose objects
rattling inside blower assembly.
16. Verify that unit is working properly before storage as instructed in PREPARATION
FOR USE section of this instruction.
17. Correct any deficiencies immediately or tag the respirator for repair and remove
from service.
18. Store the PROFLOW 2 respirator as follows:
a)
After cleaning and thorough drying, place facepiece in a heat sealed or resealable
plastic bag until reused. Store in a manner that will not distort the face seals.
b)
On blower assembly, replace red caps in the two air filtration element ports and
in the air outlet on the top of the unit.
c)
Breathing tube may be sealed by threading the female end onto the male end for
storage
d)
Keep this instruction booklet with the complete respirator.
