CAPRIOL

on the inner sides of the fuselage. Check the correct position
of the former. Its distance from the fuselage nose is 5 mm. Its
position must be correct, so that the motor axis axis is parallel
to the longitudinal axis of the fuselage or offset slightly down
and right (max 3°) when viewed from above.
If using standard 400 motor with gearbox.
4.
Glue (Epoxy) the motor former doubler [DC2-3] to the motor
former [DC1-3]. Use the motor to mark the motor former for
the mounting holes and drill for the mounting screws.
5.
Through the wing centre section opening in the fuselage
[1], glue (Epoxy, PU) the assembled motor former to fuselage.
The correct position of the former is set by the grooves moulded
on the inner sides of the fuselage. Check the correct position
of the former. Its distance from the fuselage nose is 38 mm. Its
position must be correct, so that the motor axis axis is parallel
to the longitudinal axis of the fuselage or offset slightly down
and right (max 3°) when viewed from above.
If using brushless motor Mutron S89U400R.
6.
Glue (Epoxy) the motor former doubler [DC2-2] to the motor
former [DC1-2]. Use the motor to mark the motor former for
the mounting holes and drill for the mounting screws. Glue the
captive nuts into place on the rear of the motor former.
7.
Through the wing centre section opening in the fuselage
[1], glue (Epoxy, PU) the assembled motor former to fuselage.
The correct position of the former is set by the grooves moulded
on the inner sides of the fuselage. Check the correct position
of the former. Its distance from the fuselage nose is 50 mm. Its
position must be correct, so that the motor axis axis is parallel
to the longitudinal axis of the fuselage or offset slightly down
and right (max 3°) when viewed from above.
8.
The control rod guide former [DC1-5] is installed into the fuselage
together with longerons [B2-3]. Apply glue (PU, Epoxy) to one side
of the longerons [B2-3]. Place the longerons into the fuselage
carefully, slide them into the motor bulkhead cut-outs with the glued
sides facing the fuselage walls, lightly press the longerons into position
on fuselage walls.
9.
Now place former [DC1-5] through the wing opening. Slightly
turning the former slide it onto the rear ends of the longerons
[B2-3], and position it in the corresponding grooves in side
walls, before finally gluing in place (PU, Epoxy).
10.
Glue (Epoxy) the gear former [DC1-4], the top gear lock
[DC1-6] and the gear former cover [DC2-4] together. Next
glue (Epoxy) the landing gear [6] into slot and secure with
triangular gear lock [DC1-11].
11.
Now place gear former through the wing opening. Slightly
turning the former slide it onto the rear ends of the longerons
[B2-3], and position it in the corresponding grooves in side
walls. Mark grooves for landig gear in the fuselage and carefully
cut out these grooves. Glue (PU, Epoxy) the gear former in
place.
12.
Glue (PU, Epoxy) the servo tray [DC1-8] to the longerons
[B2-3] and to the control rod guide former [DC1-5] from above.
13.
Glue (PU, Epoxy) the battery tray [DC1-7] to thelongerons
[B2-3] and to the gear former [DC1-4] from above.
14.
Glue (Epoxy) the both wing fixing bars [DC1-14] together.
Fit the wing fixing bar to the control rod former [DC1-5]. Not
glue in this moment this part in the place.
15.
Attach the wing formers [DC3-1] in the place. Now glue
(Epoxy) the wing fixing bar and the wing formers on the place.
16
Cut groove in the rudder for control horn. Glue (PU,
Epoxy) the control horn [DC2-5] into the groove. Line up with
hinge line as before. Apply decals to the fin.
17.
Remove covering film from the grooves in the elevator,
next glue (Epoxy) elevator jumper [B1-6] to the groove in
elevator on the plane board. Punch through the film over the
holes in the elevator for the control horn [B1-1] and install it in
position on the elevator. Secure in position using screws [B1-5]
and control support plate [B1-3].
18.
Bend the vertical fin sideways as far as possible and insert
the tailplane [5] into the fuselage. Mark the position and remove
covering film from surfaces to be glued.
19.
Glue (Epoxy) the tailplane lower surface to the fuselage
and the vertical fin to the tailplane upper surface. Using the
drawing, check the correct position of fin and tailplane relative
to the fuselage.
20.
Insert the elevator control rod [B2-2] and rudder control
rod [B2-1], into the fuselage [1]. Glue (PU, Epoxy) the plastic
control rod tubes to the fuselage side walls. Insert the wire
rods into the control horns. The rudder control rod secure
them by gluing pieces of lock tube [B2-12] into place.
21.
Glue (CA) the servos to the servo mounting plates [DC1-
13] and place the plates on the servo tray [DC1-8]. Do not
glue the plates to the servo tray yet.
22.
Insert the ends of control rods [B2-1], [B2-2] into the servo
control horns. Secure with pieces of plastic lock tube [B2-12]
glued in place with CA. Now fit the servo arms so they are at 90º
to the control rod travel. The servos must be in the neutral
position. Adjust the elevator and rudder neutral position by
sliding the servo plates [DC1-13] in the servo tray. When neutral,
glue (CA) the plates [DC1-13] to the servo tray [DC1-8].
23.
At the rear of the fuselage underside, cut a slot for the tail
skid wire. Glue (CA) the tail skid support [DC2-6] into the tail
skid wire [B2-6]. Insert and glue (PU, Epoxy) the complete tail
skid into its groove in the rear fuselage.
24.
Attach ailerons [3] and [4] to the wing [2] with transparent
adhesive tape as per drawing.
25.
In the centre of the lower side of the wing (without a hole for the
servo cables) cut away the covering film using wing mount washer
[DC1-12] as a template. Offset the template is ca. 2mm.
26.
Glue wing mount washer [DC1-12] into place.
27.
Install aileron control horns [B1-1], [B1-2] to the bottom of
the wing using support [B1-3], [B1-4] and the screws [B1-5].
28.
Cut out holes for aileron servos in the wing.
29.
Glue (Epoxy, CA) the servo mount plates [DC1-15] to the
inside of the wing.
30.
Install aileron servos in the wing and secure them with
screws. Thread the servo cables through the hole in upper
side the wing centre section.
31.
With servos in the neutral position (check with radio „on“
and trims neutral) install aileron linkage, assembled from parts
[B1-8], [B1-9] and [B1-10]. Adjust so aileron is neutral.
32.
Round wing shafts [B1-7] on one side. Glue (Epoxy) shafts
into holes in wing [2]. Note that shafts leave 10 mm protruding.
33.
Attach the wing [2] to the fuselage [1]. Check the correct
position and next drill 6 mm hole trough the wing mount washer,
