Power input must be
12 to 13.8V dc max
. The cable provided plugs into the connector on the
bottom panel (see Diagram 1). An integral locking collar is fitted to prevent accidental
removal; ensure this is fully tightened. The free end terminations should be connected as
follows:
+
(Positive) = Red wire
-
(Negative)
= Black wire

Replace the cover and re-tighten the four retaining screws.

Finally, after checking all connections, apply power to the unit, ensuring that this is set at
13.8V dc max, 12V dc minimum. The red power LED should light. Note: if using a battery to
power the unit, the Power and Transmit LED’s can be unplugged from the main pcb in order
to conserve battery life.

The system is now ready to accept calls from the host terminal. When a call is transmitted,
the green LED on the base of the unit will light momentarily.
