5.2 FUNDAMENTAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR THE RADIO CONTROL SYSTEM
– It is absolute necessary to read the present
instruction manual completely before putting
the radio control system into operation.
You MUST have fully understood the instruc-
tion manual in all its aspects before putting
the radio control system into operation.
– Observe all occupational safety and health
prescriptions and all accident prevention regu-
lations concerning your work.
– As far as the operation of the machine is
concerned the pertaining instruction manual
of the machine is alone applicable.
– The radio control system may only be used
for working by duly authorized persons after
instruction by a specialist.
This applies also to the alternative cable
remote-control system.
– During the work, you must always have a full
view of the machine and the working zone.
– Never lay the radio control transmitter aside
while it is ready for operation. Always protect
the transmitter against unauthorized use (by
switching it off and by locking it away).
– Check all safety-related functions before each
start-up.
Do not put the system into operation if it does
not work properly.
Do not continue to use the system if mal-
functions occur while the system is in opera-
tion.
Report all malfunctions to your immediate
superior.
– The radio control system may only be used
in conformity with its designated use, i.e. for
controlling a
SCHWING
truck-mounted con-
crete pump equipped for this purpose.
Any other use is forbidden.
– Any use not in conformity with its designated
use, faulty operation, inadequate maintenance
and non-authorized repair of the system can
cause serious property damage and perso-
nal injury.
– In case of malfunctions or faults press
the red EMERGENCY STOP button imme-
diately. Switch off the transmitter and keep
it in a safe place.
– Repairs of the radio control system may only
be made by the manufacturer himself or by
qualified personnel duly authorized by the
manufacturer.
