9.3 THE BATTERY CHARGER (Fig. 1)
The battery charger is connected to the truck
battery via a fuse.
After insertion of the battery cassette, the
charging cycle starts with the quick-charge
mode. After the quick-charge, the charger is
switched to the trickle charge mode.
The green LED
The green LED 1 flashes during the charging
cycle and is lit up permanently when the battery
is full.
The red LED
The red LED 2 is lit up when the charger is
connected to the power supply.
9.4 THE BATTERY CASSETTE (Fig. 2)
The battery cassette is protected against the wea-
ther and again impacts. The cassette is equip-
ped with a rechargeable 7.2 V NiMH* battery
* nickel-metal hydride
The cassette is protected against short-circuits.
To ensure correct orientation during the inser-
tion the cassette is keyed.
For changing and charging the battery, see chap-
ter 15.
9.5 THE LINK CABLE
(not shown)
The link cable can be used for connecting recei-
ver and transmitter with one another in case
radio communication is not possible or not de-
sired. The cable is also needed for "pairing" of
the system.
The link cable transmits all control commands
in the same way as the radio link.
Moreover, the cable supplies power for charging
of the transmitter battery.
