The next step would be to plot the readings on the
output chart. Take one of your clean out put chart
copies and proceed as follows:
•
Lay a straight edge (a ruler or similar device)
horizontally across the page, at the pressure
point that you are plotting. Make a light line
across the chart. In the example below we are
using the rod side scales and curve (you could
use the piston side scale and curve instead).
The ruler is shown ready to draw a line at 250
bar hydraulic pressure.
•
Turn the ruler sideways and draw a light line
up the page from the liters/minute reading you
took at that pressure (don’t forget to multiply
the reading by 2). In our example, we
measured 276 liters at 250 bar.
•
At the point where the two lines intersect, put a
dot.
•
Do the same thing with each pressure reading.
You should end up with 6 dots.
