Press the "EPG" button on the remote control to launch the "Electronic Program Guide" (EPG).
Select the broadcast you want to record with the buttons and press the green button "Timer".

selected program is scheduled for recording and appears in the recording list.
To modify this entry manually, you can open the menu by pressing OK and edit the entry.
If your VCR can be controlled remotely by switching voltage, the recording will be initiated by the
STB as long as connectivity is a given and the corresponding settings on the VCR have been
made.
For VCRs without this function, you will have to schedule the recording using the recording timer
of the VCR and add a few minutes buffer time before and after the start and end of the
broadcast.
The following sections, "Setting the Timer" and "EPG Recording", will provide more information
about how to set the timer of this STB. Depending on the VCR model, you might have to
manually add a generous time tolerance when setting the timer. Please note that the VCR needs
to be set up to use the "External Video Input" mentioned above.
To perform a direct recording (instantly), you can start the recording function on the VCR
manually and switch the STB into recording mode by pressing the REC button.
You can stop a direct recording in progress at any given time. If you press REC_TIME on the
remote control of the STB, a window will be displayed where either the desired time to stop the
recording or the duration of the recording can be entered using the numeric keys. If the VCR
cannot be controlled via switching voltage, you must stop the recording in accordance with the
instructions of the manual.
