then shows a key icon next to the program number. To increase the intensity again,
it has to be lowered by at least one step (0.5 mA) using the
-button. Then you
can increase the intensity to the desired level using the
-button.
If the electrodes or the cable are not adequately or correctly attached, the intensity
of the PhalliMax cannot be set higher than 10 mA, and it will automatically be
reset to zero.
3.6 Pausing the stimulation
If you want to pause the stimulation, please press the
-button. Instead of the
time, the word PAUS will now appear on the display, and the stimulation will
be stopped. Pressing the
-button again restarts the stimulation at the level of
intensity that was last selected.
3.7 Stopping the stimulation
Stimulation can be stopped at any time by holding down the
-button or the
-button for one second or by reducing the intensity to zero. The stimulation
stops automatically once the total program time has been completed for the
selected program.
3.8 Setting the program time
The runtime for all programs is preset to 30 minutes on all of the PhalliMax
programs. To change the program runtime for the set program, press the
-button when the device is turned on. The time will start flashing and can
then be changed within a range of 1–99 minutes by pressing the right or left
-button. Press the
-button again to have the program runtime stored for
that program.
You can also use the PhalliMax without a set program runtime. To turn off the
timer, press the left
-button and the
-button at the same time for 3 seconds.
Now you will see TIMER and the runtime on the display. Please press
. Instead of
the program runtime, the display will show -- --. Press the
-button to store the
timer settings. You can do the same thing to turn the timer back on.
If you have turned off the timer and are using the PhalliMax without any set pro-
gram runtime, the stimulation will not stop after any predetermined time period.
It will run until it is manually stopped.
