6.1.14 Function of the DIP 5 Extension of the reception range during the
learning procedure
By switching on DIP 5, the range reduction to 5 m in learning mode
can be switched off, i.e. the full reception range of the receiver is
then used for learning, e.g. in order to learn more remote trans-
mitters with a good signal strength.
NOTE
All incoming EnOcean telegrams are (internally) transferred via
the serial inter-face. The response time of the receiver can
thereby be permanently reduced. (special function of the
RCM121DB is not used during this)
It is therefore imperative to switch the DIP 5 back to OFF after the
learning!
DIP 5= ON (>5 m range with LRN)
DIP 5= OFF (<5 m range with LRN)
Teach-in function
is only processed
by the RSS-R1
Teach-in function is only processed by the
RCM Only telegrams from taught-in
transmitters are output to the serial interface.
If a telegram arrives at this time, the transmitter is taught in
the RCM. No more telegrams come via the RS232 interface,
as the RCM is blocked for 4 s after being taught in.
The controller attempts to disengage the RCM from the
teach-in mode as quickly as possible.
