Attention:
Maximally fill in 1/3 of the nominal content when preparing swelling or strongly
foaming foods such as fruit (compote, mush), cereals (wheat, corn, rice), pasta (noodles). Start by
boiling these products in an open pot, skim off the foam, then check the filling level, and only
then close the lid. Overfilling creates the risk of the steam outlet opening becoming blocked and
overpressure becoming too high.
• Only start the cooking process with the pot closed when the handles (body and lid) are on
top of each other and the regulator has been set to one of the 2 cooking levels.
• Never open the pressure cooker by applying force. Do not make any changes to the safety
devices. Risk of scalding!
• Before opening, remove the pot from the cooking surface.
• Before opening, jiggle the pot gently, to ensure that nothing splashes out.
Attention:
When the food that is cooked has a creamy texture (e. g. stew), the pressure cooker
should always be jiggled a little before opening so that the food can settle, and there is no risk
of food splashing out.
• Only open the pressure cooker when the interior pressure has been reduced completely.
Attention:
Only open the pot when there is no pressure on it.
• Never cover the steam escape opening.
• Never leave your pressure cooker unattended. Never leave children unsupervised near a
pressure cooker.
• After having cooked meat with an outer skin (such as e. g. sausage in the intestine), it can
swell due to the pressure. Do not pierce after cooking, as you can scald yourself. Pierce the
skin before cooking.
• Never use the pressure cooker in the oven, microwave or dishwasher.
• Special attention must be paid when transporting the pressure cooker with hot contents.
Do not touch hot surfaces, only grab the pressure cooker by the handles.
• Do not make any changes to the pressure cooker.
• When the food is too moist, this may result in dangerous splashes of fat.
• Use oven gloves or pot holders to avoid burns. Side and lid handles can become hot;
the risk of burning exists.
•
Fat fire:
If oil accidentally catches fire, do not extinguish the fire with water. Suffocate the
flames with a suitable lid or a blanket/hand towel. Switch off the burner and leave the
heated pot to cool down. Do not cool it in cold water!
