3 Safety Instructions
Read the quick start guide carefully. Additional information can be found in the separate operating instructions
for the individual components (camera, projector and ECBPi).
The product is built in accordance with the latest standards of technology and is delivered in a safe operating con-
dition; however, hazards may arise during use.
The operator assumes responsibility for the overall application and must secure it in accordance with the applicable
legal regulations.
Without the correct safety measures in place, the system is
not
approved for use as a collaborative system.
During start of operations, the operator must employ suitable safety equipment to ensure that the robot system
does not pose a hazard.
CAUTION
Handling the camera and projector
Risk of injury due to sharp edges!

Wear suitable work gloves.
CAUTION
Looking into the bright light source of the projector
Eye irritation or damage due to bright light.

Do not look directly into the lens of the projector.

Look away immediately if the beam shines directly into your eyes.
CAUTION
Touching hot surfaces
Touching hot surfaces may cause injury from burns.

Wear work gloves.

Do not touch components during operation.

Allow the components to cool down before commencing work on the product.
The housing temperature of the camera and projector can exceed 60° C during operation.
Ensure that there are no heat-sensitive materials in the vicinity of the sensor.
Exercise caution when touching or gripping the camera or projector during operation.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing due to sudden movements of the robot arm

Wear protective gloves.

Train operating staff accordingly.
NOTE
The projector overheats in the case of excessively long exposure times.
The projector is damaged.

Restrict the exposure time to 12 milliseconds.
