17. Disposal and recycling
The device is supplied in packaging to avoid
transport damages. This packaging is raw ma-
terial and can thus be used again or can be
reintegrated into the raw material cycle.
The device and its accessories are made of
different materials, such as metals and plas
-
tics. Take defective components to special waste dis-
posal sites.
Check with your specialist dealer or munic
-
ipal administration!
Do not throw old equipment away with household
waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must
not be disposed of in household waste as per
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment di-
rective (2012/19/EU) and national laws. This
product must be handed over at the intended collection
point.
This can be done, for example, by returning it
when purchasing a similar product or delivering it to an
authorised collection point for the recycling of old elec
-
trical and electronic devices. Improper handling of
waste equipment may have negative consequences for
the environment and human health due to potentially
hazardous substances that are often contained in elec-
trical and electronic equipment.
By disposing of this
product properly, you are also contributing to the effec
-
tive use of natural resources. Information about collec-
tion points for old devices can be found at your munici
-
pal authority, the local disposal provider, an authorised
location for the disposal of old electrical and electronic
devices or your waste collection service.

If the machine is new, check the carbon brushes after
the first 50 operating hours or if a new brush has been
mounted.
After the initial check, check every 10 oper
-
ating hours.
If the carbon is worn down to a length of 6 mm, or the
spring or the shunt wire is burnt or damaged, both
brushes must be replaced. If the brushes are found to
be usable after removal, they can be reinstalled.

To service the carbon brushes, open both locks
(as shown in figure 6) counter-clockwise.

Then remove the carbon brushes.
3.
Re-insert the carbon brushes in reverse order.

With this product, it is necessary to note that the follow

ing parts are subject to natural or usage-related wear,
or that the following parts are required as consuma-
bles.
Wearing parts*: Carbon brushes, saw band
* may not be included in the scope of supply!
Connections and repairs
Connections and repair work on the electrical equip-
ment may only be carried out by electricians.
Important note in the case of repairs:
When returning the device for repair, please ensure for
safety reasons that it is free of oil and fuel when it is
sent to the service centre.
Spare parts and accessories can be obtained from our
Service Centre. To do this, scan the QR code on the
front page.
16. Transport
Transport the metal band saw by holding it by the han
-
dles (9) using your hands.
Carry the machine on the saw table (24) with the metal
band saw mounted to the saw table.
