1 MACHINE APPLICATIONS
Shotblasting of horizontal, dry floors such as concrete and steel surfaces with or without a coating
and asphalt using blasting tools. The use of the machine outside is only possible in dry weather.
The operation must only be carried out in conjunction with a from Scanmaskin recommended
dust collector.
2 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for deciding to buy the Ferox 300 shot blasting machine.
Ferox 300 was developed for the blast removal and cleaning of horizontal, dry surfaces such as
concrete, asphalt, steel and similar.
The heart of the machine is the so-called blast wheel. Shot medium (also known as shot or gra-
nules) is compelled via centrifugal force through the blast wheel at high speed onto the working
/ surface area. On impact, the shot medium rebounds from the surface area and is propelled
through the reclaim chamber, through the separator and then stored in the shot compartment.
On impact particles from the working / surface area are removed and transported together with
the shot medium back to the separator. Here, the blasted material is separated from the shot. The
shot is then returned to the shot compartment, from where it continues to be propelled through
the blast wheel completing the blast cycle. The blasted floor particles are then sucked away to the
waste compartment of the dust collector.
Ferox 300 operates on a dust free principle and can be used in large open areas or closed-in spa-
ces. The internal separation and filtering of dust particles causes no pollution to the environment.
In the following pages, you will find all the necessary information, to achieve a safe, reliable and
highly competent performance from the Ferox 300. It is therefore important to follow the strict
guidelines for the deployment and servicing of the Ferox 300 in order to obtain optimum perfor-
mance. It is in the interest of all persons operating or using the machine, to take note of the opera-
ting instructions in this manual in order to be fully conversant with the components and functions
