CLEANING THE AUTO LOAD SENSOR
In addition, there is one more sensor to sense when the media is correctly positioned for auto
loading. When dust, dirt, adhesive or other foreign matter interferes with the light path of this
sensors, the results is erratic paper end error signals. This sensors should be cleaned regularly,
at least every two rolls of labels.
Supplies Needed:
SATO SA070 Cleaning Kit
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Open the Top Cover.
3. Release the Print Head by pulling
forward on the Head Release Latch
4. Lift up on both ends of the Label Cover
Plate at the points marked with the
purple arrows until it releases.
5. Apply SATO Thermal Print Head
Cleaner to one of the cotton swabs.
6. The sensor is located underneath the
label plate..
7. Use the cotton swab to clean any
foreign matter from the exposed
surface of the sensors.
8. Reposition the Label Cover Plate and
press down at the points marked with
the purple arrows until it snaps in
place.
