Step 9 – Connecting the power supply 

Plug the jack plug on the mains adapter into the socket labelled 12V DC. Apply power and check that the ON 
indicator on the front panel illuminates. 

Once all of the above connections have been made the unit is ready to configure. This can be done using the built 
in Web interface or by using the command line interpreter. Please refer to the chapter entitled “Using the Web 
Interface” or “Using The Command Line Interface” in the Sarian Systems Web Interface and Command Line 
Reference Guide as appropriate. 

Note: By default  PPP 1 is pre-configured for ADSL, PPP 2 is pre-configured for ISDN, PPP3 is pre-configured for 
GPRS (when fitted) and PPP4 is configured for PSTN (when fitted).
