Bond the real latch plate to the rear of the
canopy using CA adhesive. Ensure the latch
plate is bonded straight and aligned with the top
of the cockpit.
Bond the latch plate to the cockpit

Once the adhesive has dried, test fit the cockpit
on the fuselage and ensure smooth operation of
the latch. Make any adjustments necessary to
achieve a good fit.
Dry fit the cockpit and test the latch

Trim the canopy carefully just to the inside of
the panel lines.

With the cockpit mounted on the body, dry fit
the canopy and make any necessary
adjustments.

To get the best fit for the cockpit & canopy
bond the canopy to the cockpit with the cockpit
mounted on the fuselage.

To avoid accidentally bonding the canopy
assembly to the fuselage, protect the fuselage
with some wax paper or some low tack tape.
Bond the canopy to the cockpit using canopy
glue (or equivalent).
