Setting your Phone’s Security
Resetting and Locking your Phone
through SMS
When your phone is lost or stolen, you can
erase your important personal information
(such as phone book entries, call history and
messages) and lock your phone by sending a
special formatted SMS message to your
phone. Send the following format from your
computer:
\\RESET
<Passcode>
RESET
<Passcode> –your defined passcode.
Default Passcode is
11-digit ESN (Electronic
Serial Number) which is
described on the package
or phone itself.
The locked phone will display the following
message:
“If found, please call Sprint PCS Customer
Care at 1-888-217-4727”.
To activate this feature, following presetting
is required:
1.
From the main menu, highlight

Enter lock code.
4.
Highlight .
5.
Press .
6.
Highlight .
7.
Press .
8.
Highlight .
9.
Press .
To unlock the phone locked through SMS
when you get back your phone, bring the
phone to Sprint PCS Retail Store.
