BEFORE USING THE SYSTEM

Control section

 

Play/pause button

Press this to start CD play. Press it

during play to temporarily stop the

 Disc selector button

Use this to select the desired disc.

 Track skip button

Use this to select the desired track.
Keep this 

button 

depressed during

play for skipping in the forward or
backward direction.

 Power OFF button

This switches off the power.

 Shuffle button

This plays the tracks or discs in a ran-
dom sequence.

 

Repeat button

This plays a certain track or disc over
and over again.

 Scan button

This plays the track or disc intros.

 

Changer selector button

When two CD changers have been

installed, use this button to select the
changer whose CDs are to be played.

Reset Button

A Reset button is located on the front panel of the unit which must be activated with
a pen tip or other thin object as it is recessed to prevent accidental engagement.

1. Initial installation after all wiring is completed.

2. If abnormal disc operation is 

 the reset

button may be pressed to 

 the system and

return to normal operation.

SETTING UP FOR OPERATION

Be sure to press reset button when all wiring is completed. Load the discs into the
CD magazine and install the magazine into the CD changer.

 (Wiring-Using FM Modulator)

This system is designed to convert CD sound into FM signals (89.1 MHz or

88.7 MHz) and play them on the existing FM car stereo. Carry out the steps
outlined below before using the system.

Turn on the car stereo and select FM band operation. Tune the radio to either 89.1
or 88.7 MHz. (depending on frequency to which the installer has set the unit) or push
the pre-set memory button that has been set as per the above description.

Note:

When using SDK (ARI) equipped units, the SDK mode should be turned off. Like-

wise, when using RDS equipped units, the TP mode should be turned off.

CDI-200A (Wiring-Using Ground Isolator)

If noise is heard from the speakers when operating DISC SELECT, TRACK UP,

TRACK DOWN etc, set 

 isolator switch to ON of the ground isolator

unit.

Turn on the car radio, and select the line input mode.

Power ON and Play

Turn on the changer by pressing the Play/Pause button on the display unit or remote
controller. The LCD panel on the display unit will illuminate and play of first disc will
begin. Adjust volume, balance and tone to your taste by using the controls on the car
stereo.

 Changer selector button

If the expansion unit 

 is used, this CD changer system can accommo-

date an additional CD changer model FXD-C200 (10 discs played continuously) or
model FXD-Cl00 (6 discs played continuously). The changer selector button
(CHANGER) is used to select the changer whose CDs are to be played when two
CD changers have been installed.
* The button is not operational when only one CD changer is being used.
