To perform a manual battery test:
See “10.2.2 Running a Battery Test”.
When the UPS is set to automatically
test the batteries
After the battery test has been automatically implemented, the
results are indicated by the lit state of [BATT.TEST
緑
]. Check the
test result following step (3) in “§10.2.2 Running a Battery Test”, and
then clear the results following step (4).
The battery test tests if the UPS is capable of supplying backup power to load equipment connected to the UPS.
The UPS is run for a specified time (minutes) with the connected load equipment running, and the result is then determined.
When the UPS is shipped, it is set up to perform an automatic battery test once every 180 days.
Check the results of the implemented battery tests, and determine the time for battery replacement.
(1) To perform a manual battery test, hold down
on the control panel for at least 2 seconds.
(2) Check the displayed battery test results.
For battery test details, see "6.2.2 Running a Battery Test".
If the UPS has performed a backup operation within 12 hours prior to the test, the result may show an error. In such a case,
conduct the test again when the UPS has not performed a backup operation within the last 12 hours.
The display of the battery test result disappears when
is pressed.
When the battery test was executed from power management software, the test result is not displayed. Check the result using
power management software.
Implement the battery test at the interval described below. Note that we recommend changing the schedule to “90 days” after
the first year even if the automatic battery test schedule is set to “180 days”.
