2.2 Notes for installation
(1) When installing the ground leakage breaker on the input side, pay special attention to
the working current. Leak current of the UPS is as following.

(2) Keep the UPS 1 m or more away from the CRT display. Additionally, keep a unit,
which is sensitive to the magnetic flux, away from the UPS appropriately since a
slight amount of magnetic flux may leak from the UPS. The UPS adopts a forced air-
cooling system using the fan. Keep the UPS approximately 20 cm or more away at
the front, and back so that the air intake and exhaust ports are not blocked. And keep
the UPS approximately 10 cm or more away at the side for ventilation. Additionally,
the battery replacement work is made in front of the UPS. Keep a maintenance
space of 1 m or more at the front of the UPS and 50cm or more at the back of the UPS.
2.3 Notes for handling
(1) Never make the output circuit short-circuited and never connect the load, which is
short-circuited. Doing so, output circuit cannot be supplied due to protection function
working and fuse breaking.
(2) Load units prohibited to connect
Laser printer, plain paper facsimile machine, copy machine, OHP, drier
In the load units listed above, when the heater is heated, a large current is flown and
over-load may occur. If this occurs, the battery backup may not function or the UPS
may be broken.
(3) Power supply environment
If the UPS is used under the condition that power failure is occurred frequently for a
long time (once a week or more), battery may not be charged sufficiently, or battery
service life may become short due to battery deterioration.
(4) If the UPS is not operated for 6 months or more, it may need to charge the battery.
Carry out no-load operation for 20 hrs. or more once every 6 months.
(5) Insulation
test
Before performing the insulation test of the indoor wiring, stop operation of the UPS
and disconnect the input/output cables. If the insulation test is carried out with the
UPS connected, this may cause the built-in arrestor to break
2.4 Setting of frequency
This UPS automatically detects a local power frequency, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, therefore,
setting up is not required.
At this time, however, the UPS cannot detect a frequency correctly unless the input
voltage is in the specified range
3. Confirmation of packing content
When opening the package, confirm the packing content. If there is something trouble,
please contact to the service representitive or SANYO DENKI’s office.
