Never use the UPS for purposes listed below.
a. Do not use the UPS for medical instruments, which may affect human life.
b. Do not use the UPS for control units for trains or elevators, which may cause personal
injury.
c. Do not use the UPS for computer systems, which are important for society and public.
d. Do not use the UPS for units, which are equivalent to the above.
If the UPS is to be used for a unit like those listed above, always consult with SANYO
DENKI. Special cares, such as duplicate systems or emergency generator must be taken
into consideration to carry out operation, maintenance, and control of the system when the
UPS is installed in a unit which is closely related to human life or may significantly affect
keeping of the public functionality.
•
Do not smoke a cigarette or use an open flame around the UPS. Doing so may cause the UPS
to be exploded or broken, resulting in a fire.
•
Do not put a container containing water, such as a flower vase on the UPS. Doing so may
cause the container to fall down. Spilt water may cause an electric shock, resulting in sparks
or a fire inside the UPS.
•
Do not sit on, step on, or lean on the UPS. Doing so may cause the UPS to fall down, resulting
in personal injury
4. Notes for maintenance and inspection
•
Always ask the authorized personnel to carry out the maintenance and repair of the inside of the
UPS. Failure to do so may cause an electric shock, personal injury, burn, fuming, or fire.
•
Always ask your nearest sales representative or authorized service center to check around the
UPS or replace defective parts. If the cover is opened carelessly, this may cause an electric
shock or burn.
•
Replace the battery periodically (once every 4.5 years when operated at 25
°
C). If the battery is
used even after its service life has expired, this may cause a fire
•
Do not put a metallic sharp object or your finger into the input/output terminal or expansion
battery connector of the UPS. Doing so may cause an electric shock.
•
Do not touch any parts inside the UPS even after the AC input power is shut-down. Since the
battery voltage is still applied to some parts, doing so may cause an electric shock.
5. Notes for relocation and transportation
•
Do not fall down or drop the UPS during relocation or transportation. Doing so may cause
personal injury.
•
Please be careful not to have backache when handling the UPS.
•
Do not incline more than the angle shown in the following table in the direction of the side,
when moving UPS. If the UPS is inclined more than indicated angle, the UPS fall down.
Doing so may cause personal injury. Do the prevention measures to not fall down, if the UPS is
moved unavoidably inclining more than indicated angle.
