FM AUTO (FM auto (stereo) / mono setting)
If the FM radio station being listened to has a weak signal some hiss may be audible. It is possible
to reduce this hiss by forcing the radio to play the station in mono rather than stereo. Only when the
radio is on, you are able to find FM auto (stereo) / mono mode in the settings menu. When the display
appears and flashes “FM AUTO” or “FM MONO”, press the Select button to enter the setting. Rotate
the Tuning control knob to select “AUTO” (Stereo) or “MONO” and press the Select button to confirm
the setting.
LOUD ON (Loudness function)
You can get compensation on lower and higher frequency for your radio by adjusting the Loudness
function.
When the display appears and flashes “LOUD ON” (or “LOUD OFF”), press the Select button to enter
the setting. Rotate the Tuning control knob to choose “ON” to turn on the Loudness function. To turn off
the Loudness function, select “OFF”. Press the Select button to confirm your setting.
USB OUT (Charging with USB socket)
Your radio has a USB socket which is intended only for charging an iPhone, smart phone or similar
devices. Charge time may vary and in some cases may take longer to charge than when using the
manufacturers charging unit supplied with the device.
The radio can charge the iPhone, smart phone or similar devices when the radio is on or off, in AM,
FM, WX or AUX IN mode.
Connect your device to the USB charging socket on the rear of your radio. Your device will begin to
charge. Once your device has been fully charged remove the USB cable.
The stereo symbol “ST” in the upper area of the radio display shows that the radio is receiving a
stereo broadcast.
NOTE
Because of interference you can disable the charging function while listening to the AM band.
When the display appears and flashes “USB OUT” in the settings menu, press the Select button
to enter the setting. Rotate the Tuning control knob to choose “AM OFF” to disable the charging
function in AM mode. To enable the charging function in AM mode, select “AM ON”. Press the
Select button to confirm your setting.
