2.4. Check Running LoRa Services
Two services are required for correct operation: the
trace-lora-lora-pkt-fwd
and the
trace-lora-lora-agent.
By default they are started automatically during the power on sequence.
You can check the two services are running well by opening a
Terminal Emulator
(see previous paragraph), and use the
following commands:
systemctl status trace-lora-lora-pkt-fwd.service
systemctl status trace-lora-lora-agent.service
The response shall be they are running and should look like the following screen shots:
The version number of the KONTRON LoRaWAN software installed on the gateway can be displayed by entering the
following linux command:
rpm –qi trace-lora
2.5. Set the Current Date and Time
The gateway has no battery inside. It uses a super capacitor to keep the time and date for a maximum duration of 2
days in absence of input power. You could activate the Linux ntp service if you want to retrieve the current date and
time over the network.
To set date and time for the current timezone, if no NTP service is active, open a terminal emulator and enter for
example:
timedatectl set-time ”2017-12-19 09:33:00"
