M.2 Key B Socket
The KBox E-420-R1K/V1K reserves one M.2 Key B socket (Figure 5, pos. 3), allowing the expansion with a Type 22x42
WWAN module or M.2 SSD drive.
4.4.4.
M.2 Key M Socket
The KBox E-420-R1K/V1K reserves one M.2 Key M socket (Figure 5, pos. 4), allowing the expansion with a Type 22x80
M.2 SSD drive.
4.4.5.
Micro SIM Card Cage
The baseboard of the KBox E-420-R1K/V1K is equipped with a Micro SIM card cage, which can be switched to connect
to either the mPCIe socket or M.2 Key B socket via the jumper JP6 (see Chapter 4.4.6).
To avoid damage to the SIM card, insert the SIM card before you turn the power on and
remove the SIM card after you turn the power off.
4.4.6.
Micro SIM Card Selection Jumper
The jumper can select to which device the Micro SIM card is connected. The default setting is to connect to mPCIe.
