This option allows you to indicate how you wish to be informed of any
incoming calls. The following options are available.
1. In the Standby mode, press the
Menu
soft key.
2. Press the
soft key repeatedly until
Ring
appears, and then press
the
Select
soft key.
3. Press the
soft key repeatedly until
Alert Type
appears, and then
press the
Select
soft key.
The Alert type options are displayed:
•
Ring
: The handset rings using the ring tone selected via the ‘
Ring
Tone
’ menu.
•
Vibra + Ring
: The handset vibrates first, and then rings.
•
Vibration
: The handset vibrates but does not ring.
4. Press the
soft key to select the alert type, and then press the
OK
soft key.
Notes:
• Your handset will ring when it is on the base unit, even if it has been
placed in vibration mode.
• To switch to vibration mode quickly, press and hold
key in the
Standby mode. Refer to page 29.

On the Handset
1. In the Standby mode, press the

Ring
appears, then press the

soft key.
3. Press the
soft key repeatedly until
Ring Volume
appears, then
press the
Select
soft key. The current Ring Volume setting appears.
4. Press or key on the side of the phone to choose the volume level
you want. Each time you press the key, the handset sounds the ring
with the level you have chosen.
The ring volume is displayed as bars in the LCD window. The more
bars you see, the louder the volume is.
5. Press the
OK
soft key to confirm the setting.
On the Base
1. Press
key to enter the menu mode.
2. Press

key until
13.Ring Volume
is displayed.
3. Press
key to enter the menu. The current setting is displayed.
4. Press
or
key to adjust the ring volume.
Note:
You can select a ring volume between level 0 and 9. Setting ‘
0
’
turns the volume off.
5. Press
key to save the setting.
