On the Messenger screen, select one of the groups you
have created and press < Menu > to access the
following options:
•
Add : add a new messenger group.
• Edit : edit the messenger group.
• Erase : erase the selected messenger group.
• Erase all : erase all messenger groups you have
created. The default groups are not deleted.
Starting a conversation
Once you have created your buddy list, you can start a
conversation by sending an invitation to the contacts
with whom you want to talk. You can also start a
conversation by accepting an invitation from another
person.
To start a conversation by sending an invitation:
1. On the Messenger screen, select a group and press
< Select >.
2. Press < Invite >.
3. Check the contacts you want.
4. When you have finished, press <
Invite >.
5. Enter an invitation message and press < Send >.
While entering a message, you can access the
following options by pressing < Option >:
• Invite : send an invitation to an entry.
• Extract : extract phone numbers from the
message.
• Canned msg. : retrieve one of several canned
messages.
• View members : show the entries currently
selected.
6. Write and send a message.
When the other person accepts your message, you
can converse with the person by instant message.
To start a conversation by accepting an invitation:
When another person sends you an invitation, a text
notification displays. Press < Accept >. Now, you can
converse with the person by instant message.
Managing the messenger contacts
On the Messenger screen, select a group. The list of
members of the group displays.
