SMS
(Short Message Service)
Your phone can receive text messages and voicemail
alerts. Also, your phone can send text messages if your
system supplier provides this service.
When the phone receives a message, an alert sounds, a
text message displays with the name and phone number
of the caller, if available. The New Message icon (
)
remains on the screen until you read or listen to the new
message.
If you receive an incoming message during a call
conversation, your phone automatically decreases the
alert. This is to avoid ringing in your ear while you are
trying to converse.
You can enter the
Messages
menu by pressing the
SMS
soft key.
Alarm
Menu 8-6
This option allows you to set or release the alarm to ring
at a specific time.
To set an alarm:
1. When
Set
highlights, press the
Select
soft key.
2. Select the alarm frequency option by pressing
or
and press the
OK
soft key.
•
Once
: the alarm rings only once and is then
deactivated.
•
Daily
: the alarm rings every day at the same time.
3. Enter the required time when an alarm rings using the
numeric keys.
You can move to each input field by pressing
or
.
4. Press the
OK
soft key to save the setting.
To stop the alarm when it rings, press any key.
Note
: If you let the alarm sound for the specified time
or you press any button except for
, or
Stop
soft key to stop it, the display shows
“Snooze active”. Then the alarm will go off again
in 10 minutes. To deactivate the snoozing mode,
press
, or the
Stop
soft key.
To deactivate the alarm, access the the
Alarm
menu
option (
Menu 8-6)
and select the
Release
option.
When a confirming message displays, press the
OK
soft
key.
