Entering a Name
1. Press the key labeled with the desired letter.
Since each key has three or more letters, press the key
repeatedly until the desired letter appears in the display.
2. Select the other letters in the same way.
Notes
•
You can enter a special characters such as period (.),
comma (,), hyphen (-), &, and @ by pressing the key .
•
The cursor moves to next available space when you press
a different key. When entering the same letter twice (or a
different letter on the same key), just wait for a second for
the cursor to move automatically, and then select the next
letter. To delete letters, press the key.
Find Entry
Menu 2-3
This option allows you to find an entry by location number.
Enter the location by pressing the number keys or press the
key to scroll to the desired location, then press the
key to display the selected entry.
When the desired entry displays, press the
key to place
a call.

Sounds
You can use the
Sounds
menu to customize various sound
settings, such as the:
• Ring volume, type, and tone
• Alert sounds
• Alarm
Ring
Menu 3-1
Ring Volume
This option allows you to adjust the ringing volume to one of
nine levels. You can also turn the ringer off. Use the key
(or or key on the left side of the phone). The more the
bars, the louder the volume.
You can also use
or key on the left side of the phone to
adjust key volume in the idle mode.
Note
: During an incoming call, you can mute the ringer by
pressing the key.
Ring Type
This option allows you to indicate how you are to be informed
of any incoming calls. The following options are available.
BELL:
The phone rings using the ring tone selected via the
menu option.
LAMP:
The backlight is switched on and the lamp blinks; the
phone neither rings nor vibrates.
VIBRATE:
The phone vibrates but does not ring.
VIB + BELL:
The phone vibrates first, then rings.
