Sending Email Using Outlook
Install ActiveSync on your PC and set up a Standard
Partnership, so you can send and receive email. Email is
composed offline and is sent to the intended recipient(s) the
next time you perform ActiveSync.
1.
Tap the
Start
menu bar, and then tap
Messaging
.
2.
Tap
New
and enter the email address in the
To
field.
3.
Tap the
Subject
field and enter a subject.
4.
Tap anywhere in the message body field and enter the
content of your email.
5.
When you’re finished, tap
Send
. When you synchronize
your phone with your PC, the message is sent through
your PC’s email client.
Outlook Message Folders
There are five message folders in the Outlook directory. Each
folder and its related function is listed below:

Deleted Items
: Deleted email is sent to the Deleted Items
folder. Once messages are removed from the Deleted
Items folder, they are permanently erased.

Drafts
: The Drafts folder contains all email messages that
were not completed and saved to be sent at a later date.
䢇
Inbox
: All incoming email messages go to the Inbox and
stay there until deleted. If memory is full, new messages
will be rejected; delete older messages to free up space
for incoming messages.

Outbox
: When you send an email message, it is stored in
the Outbox until you ActiveSync with your PC.
䢇
Sent Items
: After message sending is complete, a copy of
the message is saved in the Sent Items folder. This option
must be set by using the
Tools
>
Options
>
Message
tab.
Tap the
Keep copy of sent mail in Sent folder
check box.
