Types of Messages
Your phone is capable of sending email and text messages.
Send text messages by simply entering the phone number of
the recipient when creating a new message.
Messaging
All incoming messages arrive and are stored in the Inbox until
deleted. If memory is full, new messages are rejected, so you
should delete older messages to free up space for new
messages. The Inbox has three submenus at the bottom of
the screen labeled
New
,
Tools
, and
Accounts
. The following
sections cover each of these submenus in more detail.
New
Use the
New
submenu to compose and send a new email or
text message. Send a text message by entering the phone
number of the message recipient in the
To
field, or send an
email by entering the recipient's email address. Whichever
method you use to send a message (email or text), you’ll need
to set up an account, which is discussed later in this section.
To compose a new message:
1.
At the
Today
screen, tap the
Start
menu bar, and then
tap
Messaging
.
2.
Tap
New
at the bottom of the screen.
3.
Tap the
To
field, and then enter the email address or
phone number of your recipient.
4.
Tap the
Subject
field, and then enter a subject for your
message.
5.
Below the
Subject
field is a large box. Tap your stylus in
this area, and then begin composing your message
using your preferred method of text entry.
