Using Softkeys
Softkeys are special keys whose functions are
determined by the currently active dialog, menu, or
page. The current function for these keys is displayed
above them on the screen. Your device has a left (
)
and a right softkey ( ).
Selection via the Stylus
For selection of most onscreen items, especially those
within the Status Bar area, it is recommended you use
the included stylus to tap the desired option. The stylus
is much more accurate than a finger.
Selecting Menu Items
As you navigate through the menu using the navigation
key, menu options are highlighted. Select any option by
highlighting it and pressing
or by tapping it with
the stylus.
For example, to adjust the device’s sound setting:
1. From the Today screen, press .
2.
Select
Settings
by either highlighting it and
pressing or by tapping the icon.
3.
Select
Sounds & Notifications
by highlighting it and
pressing or by tapping the icon.
4.
Select the options by tapping a corresponding field
or box.
For the purposes of this guide, these steps condense
