Connections
Connecting Using the External Amplifi er
By factory default, the AV receiver is designed as 5.1 CH surround sound system. However, it can be
extended to 7.1CH surround sound system in combination with a separate amplifi er and additional
speakers as shown below:
Use an RCA audio cable to connect the AV receiver’s SURROUND BACK OUT L/R jacks to an
analog audio input on your external amplifi er for SURROUND BACK or FRONT HEIGHT.
Connect your SURROUND BACK Speakers or Front HEIGHT Speakers to the speaker terminals on
your external amplifi er.
7.1 channel settings using an external amplifi er.
NOTE
Surround Back Out only outputs analog signal.
AV Receiver's SURROUND BACK OUT provides the Volume Control.
The external amplifi er with volume control and without volume control can be used.
When you use the external amplifi er with volume control, external amplifi er's volume should be
adjusted to a suitable position.
The volume control for the 7.1 channel can be controlled in this AV receiver.
