Metering

The metering mode refers to the way in which a camcorder measures the quantity of light. The 
brightness and lighting of your photos will vary depending on the metering mode you select.

influences the whole screen. Suitable for capturing persons as the 
subject occupies a large portion of the frame. 

Spot (

)

: Measures only the centre of the screen and determines 

aperture. Use this function when there is a severe brightness 
difference between background and objects.

xvYCC

Using the xvYCC function, you can record a video with the extended colours by expanding a 
colour space. A video of colourful flowers or deep blue sea can be recorded in virtual colours.
