buttons.
One is on the rear side of the camcorder, the other is on the LCD screen.
Select the one that works best for you.

Using the external microphone (not supplied)
Using the built-in microphone for recording may record
mechanical noise of the camcorder. When recording in a
quiet environment, it is recommended to utilize an external
microphone.
Connect an external microphone (not supplied) to the external
microphone jack of this camcorder.
The internal microphone is automatically turned off and records through the external microphone.
Zoom MIC and Voice Reduction functions are automatically turned off.
The sensitivity level may differ depending on microphone. Use the MIC Level menu to find adequate
recording sound level. Otherwise, recording loud sound may produce distorted sound.
