Set Up Your Gear
Getting Started
Remote Connection
You can remotely connect the Gear to your smartphone
when a Bluetooth connection is not available. With this
connection, you can still receive notifications from your
smartphone. This feature is automatically activated
when you connect to your smartphone using Bluetooth
for the first time.
If this feature is not turned on:

From the Apps screen of the smartphone,
tap
Samsung Gear

Settings
tab >
Gear connection
, and then tap
Remote connection
.
Turn the Screen On or Off
To turn on the screen:

Rotate the bezel, press the
Home
button or the
Back
button, or use a wake-up gesture. For more
information, see
“Device” on page
74
.
To turn off the screen:

Cover it with your palm.

The screen turns off if the Gear is not used for a
specified period.
