Getting Started       5

Battery 

Your phone is powered by a rechargeable, standard Li-Ion 
battery. A USB cable and Charging Head are included with 
the phone, for charging the battery.

Note: 

The battery comes only partially charged. 
To prevent damaging the battery, fully charge it before 
using your phone for the first time. (For more 
information, refer to 

“Charging the Battery”

  on page 7.) 

Warning! 

Use only Samsung-approved charging devices and 
batteries. Samsung accessories are designed to 
maximize battery life. Using other accessories may 
invalidate your warranty and may cause damage.

Battery Cover

The battery is under a removable cover on the back of the 
phone.

Removing the battery cover

  

Slip your fingernail in the slot and lift up on the cover. 

Continue to lift the cover away in as illustrated in the 

diagram.
