Sync
The flash fires and the shutter stays open
longer.
Select this in the evening or in the dark.
It is a good idea to use a tripod to prevent
your photos from blurring.

Red Eye
Fix*
The flash fires when the subject or
background is dark.
The camera corrects red-eye through its
advanced software analysis.

The options may differ depending on the shooting mode.
* There is an interval between two bursts of the flash. Do not move until
the flash fires a second time.
Flash options are not available if you set burst options or select
Self Portrait
or
Blink Detection
.
Make sure that your subjects are within the recommended distance

If there is reflected light or much dust in the air, tiny spots may
appear on your photo.

How to use the flash
Half-pressing [
Shutter
] will pop the flash up when it is needed.
Pressing [

] will cause the flash to fire and will take a
photo.
While not in use, keep the flash
unit closed to prevent damage.
