Section 2A. Device Basics
Removing the Battery
1.
Make sure the power is off so that you don’t lose
any stored numbers or messages.
2.
Press down on the upper end of the battery
compartment cover (just above the embossed
Samsung logo), slide the cover off, and remove the
battery from the device.
Charging the Battery
Charge your battery as soon as possible so you can
begin using your device.
Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If
your battery level becomes too low, your device
automatically turns off, and you will lose any
information you were just working on.
For a quick check of your device’s battery level, glance
at the battery charge indicator located in the upper-
right corner of your device’s display screen. If the
battery charge is getting too low, the battery icon
(
)blinks and the device sounds a warning tone.
Always use a Sprint-approved or Samsung-approved
desktop charger, travel charger, or vehicle power
adapter to charge your battery. Included in the
packaging is a non-charging USB cable used for data
transfer.
After setting up your phone, you should charge the
battery for at least four hours to ensure it is fully
charged.
WARNING
Do not handle a damaged or leaking Li-Ion
battery as you can be burned.
