Drainpipe and drain hose installation
Drainpipe connection
1. The drain pipe should be installed within 100mm (4”) from the flexible hose, turn upward 100mm (4”) to 550 mm
(22”),then turn downward 20 mm (3/4”) or more.
2. Install horizontal drainpipe with a slope of 1/100 or greater and support with hangers spaced 1~1.5 m (3’ 3”~4’ 11”)
apart.
3. Install an air vent in the horizontal drainpipe to prevent water flow back to the indoor unit.
•
You may not need to install it if there is proper slope in the horizontal drain pipe.
NOTE
4. The flexible hose should not be installed in an upward position, it may cause water flow back to the indoor unit.
5. Install U trap at the end of the drain pipe to prevent gasses from entering the indoor unit.
