Fit the end-cap (30) in to the body HCD (301H) verifying that
the O-ring (14) remains in its groove.
Risk of components damage due to incorrect assembly!
During reassembling the end caps can be damaged due to une-
ven force generated by compressed springs.
Ö
Assemble the end caps as shown in Fig. 9-29 keeping a con-
stant distance (A = B) between the actuator body and the end
cap interface.
Ö
Observe the speci fi ed sequence shown in Fig. 9-30.
Ö
Insert all the end cap screws (318) or all nut (318A) with
washer (318B) and tighten each only partially.
Ö
Complete tightening by making 1-2 turns for each screw in
the sequence shown in Fig. 9-30 until tightening is complet-
ed.

Refer to section “15.1.1 Tightenng torque” for the screw tight-
ening torque table.
Proceed as above described at section 9.5.3 and 9.5.4 on the
other side of the actuator.
9.5.5 HCD chamber fi lling
Refer to Fig. 9-1, Fig. 9-2, Fig. 9-31, Fig. 9-32, Fig. 9-33,
Fig. 9-34 and Fig. 9-35
Before fi lling the HCD bodies it is recommended to carry out a
leakage test.

Put the actuator with HCD bodies ports “C“ and “D“ in verti-
cal position.

Through the ports “C“ or “D“ fi ll the bodies HCD
(301H/302H) with the proper liquid. See table below for the
quantity for 90° rotation.

To do the fi lling, connect port C and D to the liquid container
using pipes.
The use of graduated containers is recommended to monitor the
quantity of poured liquid.
