FEATURES
The MP-series is a range of gas detectors to be used with
monitoring units G27C, SPU, MPU2C, MPU4C or MPU6C.
FUNCTION
The sensor continuously measures the gas concentration and
gives an analogous signal to the monitoring unit, when the
signal reaches the alarm thresholds an alarm will be activated.
Alarm levels are always set in the monitoring unit.
INSTALLATION
Connect the detector according to the wiring diagram.
FUNCTION CONTROL
Testing the system is recommended to be done twice a year.

PLEASE NOTE
The MP-DSLT-CO

has an internal heating element to keep the
optics free of fog. Therefore the detector requires separate
power supplies for the detector and the built-in heating element.
Make sure cables and power supply have sufficient capacity!

MOUNTING
The plastic tube with the sensor head shall be mounted through
the duct wall. The tube gland holds the plastic tube and seals
against the duct. Check locations of the holes in the plastic
tube, it is important that they are mounted correctly to get a
good airflow through the tube.
A distance of three times the duct diameter should be left
before a damper, filter or change of the duct direction, and 5
times the diameter after these devices.

MOUNTING
The brass or steel sensor holder is fitted in to the safety valves
outlet tubes using a T-connection. It is important not to install
the sensor so it blocks the gas flow if the safety valve opens.
PLEASE NOTE
The sensor has limited selectivity for different types
of gas. If the detector is placed in the environment
in which other gases or fumes may be present,
these compounds might generate false alarms.
Examples of substances that can cause false
alarms are petrol fumes, solvents, cleaning agents,
cigarette smoke, etc.
Specifications subject to change.
