Examination of tightening chain of conditioner chain gear and rollers
(Applies to KDC 300 S/W and KDC 340 S/W)
Drive from conditioner and rollers driving shaft is transmitted by chain onto conditioner’s
axis. Constant chain tension is provided by tightener, adjusted with tensioning bolt N (Fig. 24).

Tighten the chain with tightening bolt and nut N. Chain tightening can be examined through
an eye O (Fig. 23a). In order to have a more accurate chain tightening examination take drive chain
guard out (Fig 23a) upon loosening four bolts S. Properly tightened chain scheme is provided on
Fig. 23b, once pressed with a thumb in the middle section it should deflect by approx. 5 mm.
