Service Mode Programming
SAM4S ER-900 Series Electronic Cash Register AU
ER-925/945 Memory All Clear (RAM All Clear)
To Perform a Memory All Clear (reset memory completely)
1.
Turn the power switch located on the right side of the register to the
OFF
position.
2.
Turn the control lock to the
S
position (one passed PGM position as a
hidden position
).
3.
Press and hold the button position where the
SUBTOTAL (SUBTL)
button (circled
button) is located on the default keyboard layout.
4.
Continue to hold the
SUBTOTAL (SUBTL)
button while turning the power switch to
the
ON
position.
5.
After the BEEP, release the
SUBTOTAL (SUBTL)
button,
RAM ALL CLEAR
will
appear on the display.
6.
Press the
upper left button
(PLU #1) of the keyboard, then the
lower left button
(PLU
#10), then the
upper right button
(CLERK), and finally press the
lower right button
(CASH). After each button press, a
Å
symbol appears on the lower line of display.

7.
After a while,
Please Wait…
appears on the display along with those 4
Å
s
. When
memory is cleared, the register prints a message
“RAM ALL CLEAR OK!”
. This is
then followed by firmware info.
8.
The display then shows
PRINTER 2STATION Y=CASH N=CLEAR
. For an
ER-920
(one printer station), press
CLEAR
; for an
ER-940
(two printer stations), press
CASH
.
