Do not place or operate the product on or near any hot surfaces such 
as gas flames, electric elements or in a heated area, or let the cord 
hang over the edge of the table or bench. 

 

This appliance is intended for indoor use only. Do not use outside or 
under extremely cold conditions. Freezing up of the unit may pose a 
safety hazard. 

 

Do not use abrasive cleaners on the outside or interior of the urn as 
these may damage the surface. 

 

DO NOT POSITION THE URN SO THAT THE TAP HANGS OVER 
THE COUNTER EDGE. IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE USED THIS 
WAY AND COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS SCALDS SHOULD THE TAP 
BE SWITCHED ON BY MISTAKE 
 
USING YOUR HOT WATER URN 

 

 

Before first use, rinse out the urn with warm water (without 
detergent).  

 

 

Fill the urn with the desired amount of water taking care not to fill 
past the MAX level indicator. Avoid under filling the urn as this will 
cause the overheat protection system to operate and could reduce the 
life of the element.  

 

 

When filling the unit, the minimum and maximum ambient 
temperatures for the water ensure correct and safe operation of this 
appliance are:

Lock the lid in place by turning it clockwise. 

 

 

Connect the urn to a suitable 220-240V AC 13 Amp mains supply. 
This will cause the green light to go on. Turn the thermostat to the 
desired setting to achieve the temperature you require. When you turn 
the thermostat knob the red indicator light will go on. Once the unit 
reaches the selected temperature, the red indicator light will go off, 
and the green indicator light will come on. Should you then select a 
temperature between 1 and 9 on the thermostat knob, the unit will re-
boil periodically to reach the selected temperature, with the red light 
going on each time the unit starts heating. Should you select a high or 
10 on the thermostat knob, the unit will continue boiling, and the red 
light will remain on permanently. 
 

        Typical time from cold to boiling for 8L of water: 30 Minutes
