6.1. On receipt of the equipment, check that:
- The equipment is complete, according to the 

specification of its composition.
- The equipment has not been damaged in 

transit.
6.2. Before each use, check that:
- The equipment is complete, according to the 

specification of its composition.
- The coalescing filter of the air network is usable.
- The air hoses are in good condition, have 

leak-free connections and are sufficiently well 

adjusted.
- The regulator and carbon filter are clean and 

show no signs of changing colour, from white to 

pink, and there are no symptoms of smell in the 

mask. Change if necessary.
- That the pads and components for adjusting to 

the face are clean and have no signs of 

deterioration or damage. If the equipment has 

been stored in a cold environment, avoid the 

appearance of signs of condensation before 

putting on the equipment.
- The air hose connection for supplying air to the 

mask is in good condition and is properly 

connected to the adjustable regulator on the belt.
- The belt is correctly mounted by means of the 

buckle and is properly tightened, the regulator 

positioned at the hip with the air hose to the visor 

in front of your body.

 

- The buckle closes properly.
- The connector of the hose to the spray gun is 

connected correctly.
- All connections are properly made and that no 

air leaks.
6.3. Checking the air flow
NOTE:
 The regulator of the network supply will 

provide an adequate flow of air to the equipment, 

provided that the length of the air hose is 

appropriate and the supply pressure to the 

equipment is as described in section 3.4.
The following method should be used to check 

the flow range to the equipment, before entering 

the work area:
1. Connect the compressed air hose to the 

pre-set regulator.

2. The flow indicator should be in the section 

marked in green.

3. If the indicator is in any of the areas marked 

in red:

- Check for and correct any leaks.

- Check and correct the state of the air hose.

- Recheck the indicator.

4. If the flow indicator is damaged or stays in the 

red or green sectors even without air supply, 

replace the indicator before using the equipment.

5. If after the second check the indicator is still 

in any of the red sections, the equipment should 

not be used without a thorough examination of 

its condition and a new checking process.

6. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

NOTE:  Only when the equipment is fitted 

correctly, as described below, will it provide the 

prescribed degree of protection.
1. Put the belt to support the regulator around 

your waist, positioning the regulator above the 

right hip.

2. Place the mask on your head, adjusting it to 

your head to achieve the most comfortable and 

efficient position for working. Remove any trace 

of condensation before putting on the mask.

3. Connect the air supply hose from the regulator 

to the mask. If you notice vibrations during the 

connection, disconnect and then reconnect.

4. If applicable, attach the air supply hose to the 

spray gun.

5. While walking, make sure the hoses do not 

become entangled with each other and impede 

your movement.

7. ASSEMBLY OF THE EQUIPMENT

The equipment requires a monthly check-up. 

Care of the equipment, during and after its use, 

will ensure a reliable and lasting service.
After use, the equipment should be washed with 

water and a solution of neutral soap, then rinsed 

with a damp cloth and dried. To keep the mask 

in the best possible condition do not use abrasive 

cleaning products. Rinse with water and mild 

detergent and dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents. 

These will damage the equipment. See section 

9.3.
