Description
Defines SNMP parameters.
Parameters and
Attributes

negates a previously entered SNMP command with
the same parameters.
community <word>
– specifies the SNMP community
string to validate SNMP requests.
ro
– specifies that the community string has the
read-only attribute.
rw
– specifies that the community string has the
read/write attribute.
contact_arg
– specifies a contact person for the
HA4000. The value is defined by
sysContact
in the
MIB2 system group. Enclose multi-word strings in
quotation marks.
location_arg
– specifies the HA4000 gateway’s
location. The value is defined by
sysLocation
in the
MIB2 system group. Enclose multi-word strings in
quotation marks.
name_arg
– specifies a logical name to the HA4000.
The value is defined by
sysName
in the MIB2 system
group. Enclose multi-word strings in quotation marks.
trap_args
is defined as follows:

– produces a list of the traps and their status.
enable
– allows the HA4000 to generate the specified
traps.
host
– indicates that the specified

is the IP
address of the host where the traps specified by

where:

– specifies that all traps are sent to the specified
host.
