Checklist
for Proper Harness Use
Read complete instructions prior to using
the child restraint!

Child weighs 30 - 60 pounds (13.6 - 27 kg), is 34 - 52 inches
(86 - 132 cm) tall, and is over 1 year old.

Tether attachment is secure and tight. NEVER use the harness without the
tether.

Child restraint is securely installed and cannot move more than 1 inch in any
direction at the base of the armrests.

Tops of child’s ears are below top of vehicle seat cushion or vehicle headrest.

Harness height adjusters are at or just above child’s shoulders.

Chest clip is securely fastened and adjusted to armpit level.

Harness buckle connection is secure.

Harness is snug and tight on child’s thighs and chest.

Belt-Positioning Booster Mode

WARNING
FAILURE TO FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS
INJURY OR DEATH.
• USE ONLY WITH CHILDREN WHO WEIGH BETWEEN 40 AND 100
POUNDS (18 - 45 KG) AND WHOSE HEIGHT IS BETWEEN 43 AND 57
INCHES (109 - 145 CM), AND WHO ARE 3 YEARS OLD OR OLDER.
• Use only the vehicle lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the
child in the booster seat. NEVER use a lap belt only.
• Secure this child restraint with the vehicle’s child restraint anchorage
system (lower LATCH anchors) if available.
• Instructions for use of this child restraint differ depending on the size of
your child. Be sure you are using the child restraint properly.
• Use of this child restraint with the harness is recommended for as
long as the child meets all of the requirements listed on page 9 of this
manual. When your child is over 60 lbs. (27 kg) OR 52” (132 cm),
the harness must be removed and the child restraint converted to a
belt-positioning booster.
• Top of child’s ears must be below the top of the vehicle seat cushion or
vehicle headrest. If the top of the child’s ears are above the top of the
vehicle seat cushion or vehicle headrest, do NOT use the child restraint in
this seating position.
