Please read the instructions thoroughly, failure to do so may result in damage to the gate or could in worst
case cause injury to your child. When unpacking the gate, carefully check all parts.
WARNING
This gate is designed and tested for children up to 24 months. However, this guidance should be constantly monitored against
your child’s own development.
Individual children’s skills develop at different ages and if your child can operate or climb the gate, it should not be used.
• Incorrect fitting or positioning of this safety barrier can be dangerous.
• Do not use the safety barrier if any components are damaged or missing.
• The safety barrier must not be fitted across windows.
• This safety gate is for domestic use only.
• Stop using the barrier if the child is capable of climbing it.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
• Gate extends from 68-106 cm.
• When mounting across the face of an opening it will cover aperatures much smaller than 68 cm.
• It can be fitted internally to door frames and architraves, across the top or bottom of stairs and at various angles across
openings.
• Ensure that the wall, door frame or stair post to which you are fitting the gate, is strong and rigid, free of dirt and grease. If
mounting onto brick, drywall or other surfaces, it may be necessary to mount a wooden batten onto the wall first.
• The screws provided are for wood only. If mounting into brick, or plasterboard, the correct fixings and screws should be
obtained.
• Keep these instructions and the spanner for future reference and use.
• This gate has a manual locking mechanism. It should always be closed correctly after use.
• When fitted as per these instructions this gate conforms to: EN1930:2011
Please note the following:
• The position of the safety barrier in relation to the stairs may have an adverse effect on your child’s safety.
• If the gate has been exposed to an accident it must not be used again.
• Please note that this product will not necessarily prevent accidents from happening.
• Never leave your child unattended.
• Once the gate is installed, read the instructions again and check the gate is correctly fitted and secure.
• If the gate is damaged, it must not be used again.
• Do not hang or tie toys to any part of this gate.
• Never allow your children to swing on the gate.
• Only use original spare parts for this product.
• Never climb the gate, always open it.
• After use keep the gate closed and secured.
• Periodically check the security of the fixings and the general condition of the parts. Adjust if necessary, referring to this
User Guide.
• Do not allow older children to climb the gate as this may pose a danger.
• Wipe clean with a cloth damped in a mild cleaner.
