Stoking
In order for the appliance to reach the preferred temperature and as a consequence limiting the release of harmful
substances, please take the following instructions into account:
1.
Always open the air supply prior to filling wood
2.
Use the wood poker to spread out the burning ashes over the base
3.
Leave air supply fully open for a few minutes until you get the fire going again
4.
Now adjust the air supply until nice, stable flames develop
When the supply of oxygen to the fire is obstructed, the combustion will be incomplete and many harmful substances
will be released. To reduce the side-effects of this process, it’s best to let the fire burn for half an hour at full power
every day that it is used.
Also avoid adding excessive fuel. As a result , too much heat is released and the temperature in the appliance can rise
too high.
Controlling the fan
Use position 2 to light the fire and
to heat the room quickly.
Normal fan speed is used to
maintain the temperature in your
room. In this position the fan will
switch on and off in function of
the temperature measured by the
fan.
The Fenix inset fires can also be
used without the fan. In this case
simply switch off the fan (position
0).
Ducting warm air
You can control the flow of hot air that is ducted to adjoining rooms (see installation convection air channels). Insert
the lever in the top right section of the fire door to increase the throughput to adjacent rooms. By pulling the lever
towards you more warm air is ducted to the room in which the inset fire is installed.
