The menus should be PASSWORD-protected.
The PASSWORD will not be requested if set on the
default value (0000). It should be changed upon

use to prevent unauthorised access. After this change,
it should be entered again at each access, every time the
display shows:
0 0 0 0
Refer to section 10.4 on how to set the PASSWORD.
10.2 Programming
Controls
When the machine menus are accessed, the buttons on the keypad take on new functions.

This button allows the parameters to be changed when they are displayed.

This button allows the parameters to be changed when they are displayed.
“ ” button (24) (Scroll parameters / OK)
This button allows the user to:
1 scroll through the menu pages;
2 confi rm the parameter/value after changing it.

" "ESC" button (22)
This button allows the user to exit without changing the edited or selected param-
eter.
Note: Press it repeatedly to exit programming mode.
To enter the password:

Press the “
” (18) or “
” (20) button to set the desired
number.

Press the “
” button (24) to move on to the next number
(when it gets to the end, it will start again from the beginning).

Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the set password has been entered.

Press the “
” button (21) to confi rm and to access pro-
gramming mode.
Note: If the PASSWORD is forgotten, you can reset
it by entering a PUK code. You have to request the
PUK code to the Saeco service centre, who will guide you
through the procedure.
